The Elections Voter Registration Clerk provides registration services to eligible citizens who maintain residency in Maricopa County so they may readily express their preferences through the electoral process.

About Us
The Recorder's Office is responsible for voter registration and the maintenance of the voter rolls. Maricopa County has over 2.4 million active registered voters. It is our mission to maintain the integrity of the voter rolls under federal and state law while serving the needs of new and existing registered voters.

We Require
- One (1) year of clerical experience including six (6) months of data entry experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be registered or eligible to register to vote in Arizona.
- Must pass a background check
- Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
Job Contributions
- Operates a computer to access secure software systems to perform data entry, auditing, and proofing of voter registration records
- Processes undeliverable/returned mail for list maintenance purposes
- Performs research and signature verification of Presidential Preference/Primary/General Elections provisional ballot affidavits to be verified
- Researches and verifies signatures for recall, initiative, referendum, and nomination petitions
- Employees assist other work groups in the Election division
Working Conditions
- Extensive mandatory overtime during the PPE/Primary/General Elections
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
- Must be able to work irregular hours and shifts based on departmental needs
