Registered Nurses (RN) Position Details:

Type: 13 weeks contract

Shift Start Time: Day, 4x12-Hours or 3x12-Hours

Location: Seattle, WA

As a Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to individuals in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with a focus on cardiovascular diseases, pre/post Cath Lab and IR procedures, and post-open heart surgery care.
• Proficiently perform and assist with specialized procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Open Heart Surgery (OHS), Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs, and manage advanced devices including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP) and Impella.
• Safely operate and manage critical care equipment, including ventilators, vasopressors, and balloon pumps (preferably Maquet Datascope). Familiarity with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) equipment like Prismaflex is a plus.
• Demonstrate competence in managing fresh open heart cases and handling IABP devices.
• Collaborate effectively within a dynamic team, provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff, and contribute to a positive work environment. Strong travelers with cardiac surgical experience are highly valued for their expertise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• CVICU experience and open-heart experience are required
• Competence in handling devices such as IABP, PrismFlex, Impella, and LVAD is preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and CRRT Prismaflex are all required
• Skills: IABP and fresh open-heart experience required
• Active Washington State RN License.
• Two professional references are required. Charge RNs are accepted.
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•  Ability to work well in a fast-paced Hospital environment.
• Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
