Design Engineer

Regal Rexnord's Aerospace and Defense Division is growing and looking to add Design Engineers to join our growing business, supporting our Bearings and Seals product lines. Come join us and watch your career soar!

We have opportunities for entry level, mid-level, and senior engineers. This position is located in Downers Grove, IL (potential for remote options at Sr. Engineer level.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and applications of mechanical seals and bearings
• Create solid models, drawings and ECN'S
• Strong customer communications with some of the biggest companies in the aerospace industry
• Input Bill-of Materials into MRP system
• Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality departments
• Participate in RBS events (the company's operating management system based on the Toyota Production System and the Strategy Deployment Process - advanced Hoshin Planning methodology)

Job Requirements, Capabilities, and Success Factors

• Due to defense requirements the candidate must be a US Person (US Citizen or Green Card Holder)
• Requires Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or CATIAis required
• Ability to create and interpret drawings and specifications
• Capable of working within a team structure
• Detail oriented and self-motivated
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of metals and composites; materials background a plus
• Previous experience designing mechanical components is preferred
• Experience with DOE is preferred
• Exposure to machining, heat treat, or grinding is a plus
• SAE and/or ASTM is a plus
