The role:

Are you passionate about using your gift for language to design intuitive, delightful product experiences that help users accomplish their goals? As a User Experience writer at SoFi, you'll be working to shape product experiences by creating useful, meaningful content. Your role will involve creating and structuring content throughout every stage of product development, from ideation to launch.

As part of the product design team, you'll work with people in a variety of UX design-related jobs including researchers, product managers, engineers, marketing and customer operations. Collaborating with each, you strive to establish cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms that reflect the SoFi brand. You'll use empathy, logic and hard data to inform content choices, and will become an expert in the SoFi product offerings, specifically within the lending suite of products.

As a writer, you have a portfolio of work that demonstrates your gift for simplifying and improving user experiences.

You will help drive guidelines and best practices, develop playbooks and recommendations to ensure our content can scale consistently across product experiences.

What you'll do:

  • Develop content strategy for end-to-end experiences across SoFi'si app and web
  • Write clear, concise, compelling content for different audiences and use cases
  • Leads larger content design projects within a strategic pillar, including driving content-first prototyping and initiatives
  • Develops frameworks for the creation and management of high-quality content across multiple products and platforms
  • Drives the creation of new strategies for voice and tone
  • Integrate the SoFi brand into the content experience of SoFi products
  • Present content design work and regularly engage with partners for feedback
  • Advocate for customer needs and inclusive language throughout the design process
  • Lead multiple projects independently and deliver high-quality work on time

What you'll need:

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
  • 8-10 years as a UX Writer, content designer, or similar role
  • Experience working optimally with diverse, cross-functional product teams
  • Experience developing ideas, strategies, frameworks, and words that get meaningful results for customers and business
  • Experience presenting strategies to partners and advocating for user needs
  • Experience translating hard-to-understand concepts into clear, user-friendly language
  • Experience developing standards, processes, and guidelines to help teams do better work
  • Experience making effective decisions and managing multiple projects at once
  • Expertise with writing, voice and tone development, and standards for inclusive content
