Cyber Range Operations Lead - Subject Matter Expert - SME - (Security Engineering, Senior Associate)

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Cyber Range Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Security Engineering, Senior Associate) to lead our Information Environment section supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). This facility supports the mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia, and international partners. The successful candidate will serve at the Patuxent Naval Air Station, MD site. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages all aspects of the range operations before, during, and after events.
• Validation and Verification of the sensitive test information is properly disposed or archived.
• Ensures the classified or sensitive information is properly handled, disposed, archived, or purged after every testing event.
• Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated sanitization tools and strategies.
• Assesses, designs, and conceptualizes improved operation scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools and other state-of-the-art technologies related to range operation requirements.
• Analyzes test cases and provides progress reports recommending enterprise and site improvements.
• Serves as subject matter specialist providing information and range environment operation know-how for the support of user requirements for testing.

Required Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 12+ years of relevant experience OR Associates Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelors with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Masters with 6+ years of relevant experience OR PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.Additional considerations will be made for variations in certifications of exceptional caliber.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
• Demonstrated knowledge of data sanitization practices
• DoD 8570.01M/IAT-II certification within 6 months of assignment to position (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate))
• Knowledge of data archiving practices and digital engineering

• Expert Knowledge of data sanitization practices
• Master's Degree in a STEM subject, particularly systems engineering, network engineering, or cybersecurity orAssociates or Bachelor's degree in computer science, or engineering or its equivalent with 15+ years' relevant experience .
• Active, Reserve, or National Guard military service with network or cyber security experience.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Eligible clearance; please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects.

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $120,000 - $181,000per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
