DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The primary responsibility of this role is to carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks on hand tools, construction equipment, and trucks. These vehicles are powered by either gasoline or diesel engines and have both manual and automatic transmissions. You must possess the necessary skills to make mechanical adjustments to the equipment in order to achieve the desired outcomes. It is crucial that these tasks are performed in a manner that ensures the safety of the incumbent, other employees in the workshop, and the operators of the equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Hour's dependent on winter bid shift.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or

  • Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.


Special Requirements:
  • This position requires possession of a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.
  • This position requires possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic certification.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
