The Learning & Leadership Development (LLD) Regional Learning Specialist position will be responsible for conducting the essential functions of training – coordination and delivery – in either the St. Louis OR Louisville regional areas. This includes facilitation of courses/seminars developed, designed, and approved by Learning & Leadership Development. The role requires coordination and facilitation of training activities across multiple locations with focus on developing Crew Manager and Certified Trainer competency with focus on business readiness for Castle success. Emphasis is on providing exceptional service for our customers.

 

What we are looking for


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Talent for Learning & Leadership development must have project management knowledge, technical acumen (MS Office Suite), and organization skill to facilitate, design and development of training proposals and programs;
  • Must be able to balance regional preferences and tailor approaches and programs to fit the diverse learning needs of the culture and business environments;
  • Transparency and credibility as a behavioral style/professional practice is necessary to complement effective communication objectives;
  • Travel availability, eligibility, and reliability are functions of this role with expectations for supporting flexible schedules (business operations and events), special assignments (new Castle Openings, re-openings, etc.), professional memberships, and/or community affiliated activities;
  • Ability to lift materials, manage equipment and appropriately use transport equipment, prepare training materials and prolonged computer use are aspects of this role. Facilitating room set up – including table and chair placement, moving/standing for periods of training delivery.

 

What you will do


  • Assess and analyze training needs through surveys, focus groups, interviews with team members and consultations with region/division managers;
  • Research industry best practices to supplement training content and link learning events with WC University content to ensure consistency across topics and with shared materials;
  • Develop approach, design, and create learning materials, online learning modules via WC University, and course guides to align with regional and divisional objectives for Team Members, Crew, Certified Trainers, AGM, and GM to ensure specialty development. Tailor training events for appropriate level of engagement;
  • Monitor, advise and assist (as requested) other departmental in-house training programs utilizing White Castle University and Learning Management System (LMS) tools to develop content, launch programs and track participation of various training programs;
  • Develop, launch, and facilitate career/leadership development and succession planning seminars for top talent (key performers) to support business readiness aims/retention objectives and establish bench strength systemwide;
  • Coordinate ServSafe, and other state-required food handling safety training programs, White Castle policy and regulatory guidance;
  • Develop system-wide, department and region-specific training programs for Certified Trainer (CT) role (plants, Castles, etc.);
  • Design appropriate level of leader/management development initiative to formally prepare team members for Castle management /next level success;
  • All other duties as assigned.
