Penmac Independence is hiring for a Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate:
$16 - $25 per hour / Based on Experience
Hours:
2nd Shift – Start at 12-pm
3rd Shift - Start at 8pm
Job Description:
Installing, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of facility equipment.
Responsibilities consist of but not limited to:
- Maintain and Service production machines Under the close direction of a more experienced Maintenance Personnel
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production.
- Perform scheduled maintenance of production equipment.
- Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Respond in a timely manner to work orders and management requests.
- Dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
Education / Experience
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Vocational tech training in mechanical related field is preferred.
- Preferred (2) years of tech training (or equivalent experience) and at least (1) year of related mechanical experience in hydraulics, electronics repair, and related mechanical applications.
- In lieu of formal training/education, an employee may have 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, and or farming.
Requirements:
- Pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background checks.
- Comply with company policy and make good decisions independently.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
This is a manufacturing environment, steel toe shoes with metatarsal guards provided. Eye protection, gloves on different types of task, hearing protection, hard hats, respiratory protection as required.
