GENERAL FUNCTION:

This role is responsible for facilitating and executing operational processes relating to the Wealth and Asset Management / Fifth Third Securities, Inc. line of business. This position requires an operational professional working within a high risk environment that follows established guidelines and procedures and also proactively identifies and resolves problems for both our Fifth Third Securities (FTS) sales field and our end clients.

Responsible for daily implementation of various types of Cashiering processes while ensuring efficient and accurate processing. Professionally communicates status updates and rejections to the FTS sales field and management.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Associate is accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues all while ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position is a Transfer of Asset (TOA) specialist. Responsible for reviewing and approving incoming ACAT transfers, non-ACAT transfers, DTC free deliveries, and internal transfer requests into multiple operating systems.

• Serves as a control point by ensuring all required documents are present and accurate while verifying that all required approvals are properly obtained.

• Responsible for the timely review and accurate processing of requests entered through the National Financial Services (NFS) platform.

• Processes inter-company asset transfers between Brokerage, Trust, and Retirement Planning Services.

• Processes and coordinates internal journals where funds are being transferred between FTS brokerage accounts. Processing these requests can require coordination with National Financial Services Margin Department for approvals.

• Reviews outgoing transfer reports to ensure firm liabilities are covered prior to transfer.

• Resolves all escalated Transfer and Journal inquiries from internal and external customers.

• Resolves ACAT, non-ACAT, and internal transfer request rejects and re-submits as necessary.

• Communicates directly with Licensed Representatives via email and telephone.

• May assist in training new transfer specialists.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• High school diploma required. College degree preferred.

• 1 year of previous processing and/or accounting experience preferred.

• Extreme attention to detail, maintaining the highest quality.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Familiarity with Windows XP and Microsoft Office Products, including working knowledge of Excel, as well as DOS based Mainframe
