Dietitian Nutritionist II - Part-time

Sodexo is seeking a Part Time Dietitian Nutritionist, to join their team at United Hospital in St. Paul. MN. United Hospital is the largest hospital in the Twin Cities East metro area serving over 200,000 patients and families yearly.

 

In this role you will provide clinical nutrition support to a variety of patients in a variety of inpatient settings including critical care and serve as preceptor for our dietetic internship program. This position will work an average of 16-24 hours per week, including the occasional weekend and holiday.

In this role, the successful applicant will: 

 

• Provide nutrition care to a variety of inpatient and critical care units;
• Have order writing privileges to practice at full dietetic scope;
• Provide diet education for healthcare team members, patients, and family members;
• Participate quality improvement projects and initiatives as part of the clinical team;
• Precept dietetic interns at United Hospital.

• Registered Dietitian credentials and are licensed in Minnesota;
• Prior clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Good time management and organizational skills and are self-directed; and,
• The ability to work well with multidisciplinary team including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

 

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
