Essential Job Functions
- Prepare reconciliations for cash depository accounts
- Analyze and research variances, resolve issues and summarize results for reconciling items
- Work with field locations to resolve cash discrepancies
- Analyze recurring issues and assist in developing process improvements
- Ensure financial reporting deadlines are met
- Create journal entries to clear discrepancies once a resolution has been achieved
- Maintain critical accounting and finance documentation that will be useful in both bank and financial statement audits
- Support bank audits
- Assist in the development and oversight of policies and procedures and internal control environment
- Prepare ad hoc financial and business analyses
- Assist with Treasury related special projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required
- 5+ years of accounting/reconciliation work experience
- Experience working with large data sets
- Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cause and effect and communicate results in a structured manner
- High capacity for strategic thought and the ability to solve business issues
- Strong background in general ledger, financial and GAAP accounting practices
- Excellent written and oral communication and research skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel
- Personable, Organized, & Attention to Detail are all traits that are a must
- Must be a self-starter
