WE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR A PRESCRIPTION COORDINATOR WITH A HEAVY EMPHASIS ON ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES WORKING PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS FOR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS; MEDICAL TRAINING/EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY TO BE CONSIDERED; TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.

We are a team-oriented and fast-paced office looking to hire a full-time employee. The PRESCRIPTION COORDINATOR POSITION is an entry-level position that focuses on prescription drug approvals for neurological indications. The Prescription Coordinator will cross-train in other administrative and medical roles to support the clinic. The position involves interacting with patients, health insurance companies, and other physician offices. Candidates will also train as a medical assistant.
All candidates must complete the online questionnaire to be considered. No candidate will be considered with a partially completed questionnaire. Please answer all the questions. Virtual interviews will be scheduled late afternoon, after hours, and on weekends if necessary.
Primary responsibilities for the PRESCRIPTION COORDINATOR POSITION include:
* Communicating with insurance companies regarding details for prescription authorizations
* Correcting and resubmitting prior authorizations to insurance with appropriate documentation
* Coordinating and scheduling treatment dates for the authorized procedure
* Processing and completing correspondences with supporting documentation
* Counsel patients on the prescription process via text and assist patients with enrollment for patient assistance program
* Faxing completed notes to referring physicians
Secondary responsibilities for the PRESCRIPTION COORDINATOR POSITION includes training as a medical assistant:
* Taking ownership of assignments to improve patient experience and satisfaction by attending to prescription refills requests, patient care coordination, and acting on communication with the practitioners.
* Supporting scheduling and patient intake
* Support practitioners and senior medical assistants with procedures, including skin biopsy, headache injections, and botox reconstitution.* Providing and collecting consent forms for procedures.
* Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.
* Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Ideal candidates are meticulous and detail-oriented. The candidate must be able to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment.
Scheduling requirements 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Thursday; 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Friday, with five Fridays requiring a 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule.
The selected candidate will serve a ninety (90) calendar day introductory period. After the introductory period is completed, you will be eligible to earn up to 10 paid days of personal time off and five paid holidays. Individual and family insurance is available at the candidate's expense.
