Busser/Runner

Job Description:

KYU restaurant is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support/Food Runner to join our team. Our Asian-inspired concept focuses on wood-fired, fresh, and informal shared dining in a meticulously detailed setting. Responsibilities:

• Assist the kitchen team in efficiently expediting and delivering dishes to guests’ tables, ensuring proper presentation and timing.

• Collaborate closely with servers, ensuring accurate delivery of each dish to the correct guest.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including bussing and resetting tables as needed.

• Assist in running food orders from the kitchen to the dining area and ensure accuracy of all orders.

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth and timely service.

• Provide exceptional guest service by addressing any guest inquiries, needs, or concerns promptly.

• Assist in restocking and replenishing inventory as needed.

• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests.

• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant support or food runner role is preferred but not required.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift items for extended periods.

• Knowledge of Asian cuisine and culinary techniques is a plus.
