Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accounting Specialist will be involved in a wide range of accounting and administrative functions including routine accounting transactions, daily production/inventory reporting and analysis, bank reconciliations and other month-end tasks related to general ledger and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process weekly disbursements, including invoices for payment
  • Generate and reconcile reports, including bank and credit card statements
  • Monitor daily receipts and post to customer accounts
  • Prepare required detail schedules
  • Generate and post journal entries and verify G/L account balances in ERP system
  • Generate and assist with distribution of monthly financials including reporting process.
  • Analyze data for accuracy
  • Prepare daily production reporting and record appropriate entries in ERP system
  • Monitor inventory and variance accounts
  • Track fixed assets and record monthly depreciation
  • Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents and receipts
  • Prepare and file quarterly sales and use tax reports
  • Cross train in other administrative positions to fill in as needed (front desk reception and customer service)

Requirements:

  • Prefer an associate degree in business or accounting or 2 years related experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Occasional bending, and fine manipulation skills using hands, shoulders, and back
  • Ability to make precise, coordinated movements with the body to grab, manipulate or move products/objects

  • Required in production areas: Safety glasses, hair/beard nets, and hearing protection
