SMT Technician- Huntertown IN

JOB DESCRIPTION - SMT Technician

This position consists of setting up, tuning, and troubleshooting a variety of automated assembly machines that make up the three full SMT lines Riverside has at the Huntertown facility. Some of the machines include, stencil printers, pick-and-place machines, ovens, Automated Optical Inspection machines, a selective solder machine, a selective conformal coat machine, an x-ray machine, and a stencil cleaning machine. SMT line operators will run production while this position focuses on the more technical aspects of setting up and maintaining the machines with the multitude of variations in PCBs assembled on them. Riverside expects that substantial training and mentoring will be required to fulfil this position and is looking for someone willing to master these machines and stay in this position a while.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree in Electrical / Electronics
• Must be a U.S. person
• Relocation not offered for this position
• Job Type: Full-Time Salaried

RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES

• Set-up, tune, and troubleshoot SMT assembly line machines
• Basic troubleshooting of PCBs down to component level
• Pinpoint causes of SMT assembly line production problems and implement or recommend changes
• Be willing to shift work day schedule to meet production demands on occasion
• Stay up-to-date on current SMT technologies

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Familiar with surface mount technology
• Ability to read schematics
• Able to do basic troubleshooting of PCBs down to component level
• Willingness to dive into machine manuals and contact manufactures to utilize machines to their fullest potential
