DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, your responsibilities will involve the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of various vehicles and equipment, including cars, trucks, tractors, and construction machinery. This will include tasks such as replacing shock absorbers, transmissions, clutches, brakes, and other components. You will also be responsible for conducting automotive mechanical diagnostics, tune-ups, tire changes, and repairing engine sub-assemblies. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining and adjusting cooling, suspension, electrical, heating, and air-conditioning systems, as well as fuel, brake, steering, and transmission systems. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to repair or rebuild construction and shop equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
  • Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirements:
  • This position requires possession of a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.
  • This position requires possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic certification.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
