Job Summary:

Manage the following areas to include all managers, assistant managers, supervisors and team members in Hotel Housekeeping, Casino Housekeeping, Environmental Services and Uniform Room.



Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Establish job responsibilities, training and control costs within the department for the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa.
  • Oversee hotel room & hallway cleaning/preparation for guest use.
  • Ensure all rooms and Hallways are in compliance with 4-Star/4-Diamond expectations.
  • Ensure that the casino floor and all public areas are up to Four Diamond cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure that the EVS team is fully trained on all floor care procedures to include all carpet care as well as hard surface care.
  • Ensure that the Uniform Room is run efficiently and that all departments requirements/needs are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring that monthly safety trainings are attended.
  • Responsible for inventories for linen, uniform and fixed assets.
  • Attends to and resolves guest complaints.
  • Utilizes proper/approved cleaning materials and solutions.
  • Coordinates the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public area with maintenance department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requires strong leadership and motivational skills. Will interact with various levels of staff, management, government officials, and the public.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; grooming standards, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.


Qualifications:

Computer skills to include LMS/Outlook/Excel/HotSos and excellent verbal and written skills are required. Possess an in-depth knowledge of hotel guest room attendant operations as well as public area operations. Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills. Able to drive change and look for operational efficiencies and collaborate with other leaders. Innovator and able to tactfully and diplomatically deal with guests and team members. Must possess excellent business sense and high professional ethics. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of five (5) years experience in hotel guest room attendant operations and public areas operations and three (3) years in a management role. Experience in uniform room operations as well. Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience providing the necessary background for the position preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write & speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with guests or team members of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Must have the ability to independently problem-solve challenging situations. Must have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and have the judgment to decide which procedures apply to a variety of situations. Must reason with people effectively yet cordially.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and often will stand or walk. The team member frequently is required to reach with arms and use hands to manipulate or feel. The team member might occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires the ability to hear and speak on the telephone and vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The duties of this position are typically performed in a casino hotel resort environment with moderate noise, and adequate lighting.

WORKING HOURS:

Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
