Position Title: Warehouse – 12-Hour Shift
Wage: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 12-Hour Shift
Hours: 5:30pm-5:30am
QPS Employment Group has a great Warehouse position available at a company in Mount Pleasant, IA. This position is on a 12-hour shift and has the opportunity for hire.
Warehouse Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the shipment to the customer of envelopes. Will operate machine to conform to standard operating procedures and optimize program for efficient use of equipment and material.
- Read work order instructions and perform work as assigned by work order sheet.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform the following tasks: locate inventory using computers, follow work orders for correct quantity, quality, and packaging per customer specifications, load packaged goods onto freight trucks.
- Have the ability to operate material handling equipment including fork trucks and pallet jacks for transporting products. Only after training and certification by the company.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to specific customer product requests.
- Conduct routine quality checks of finished product per instructions.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
Warehouse Requirements:
- This position involves heavy grasping, frequent forceful grasping, pushing and pulling.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, and noise exposure.
- Must be able to stand for 12 hour shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Must pass basic Math and Ruler test.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Shipping and receiving with forklift use experience preferred.
- Use of forklift (must be trained by client prior to use).
