Shipping and Receiving Manager

Salary: $70,000 - $78,000

Qualifications: At least five years of experience in warehouse management including direct management of staff, shipping/receiving, inventory, and forklift operation, and excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, customer service, and multi-tasking skills. Lifting requirements for this role are up to 70 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable working on the floor for the majority of the day.

Essential Functions:

• Directs supervisors and shipping/receiving associates in the performance of the day-to-day operations.
• Delegates responsibilities between departments to achieve optimal operating results and continuous improvement.
• Strives for cost-per-line improvements in all operations with a focus on productivity gains and error reduction.
• Monitors warehouse performance towards corporate goals. Analyzes results and initiates appropriate action to achieve goals.
• Directs regular staff meetings to ensure communication of strategy and resolution of issues.
• Manages significant cross-functional projects to ensure goals and timelines are met.
• Processes incoming materials and products while ensuring orders are pulled and shipped accurately.
• Interview, hire, and train new team members.
• Completes inventory and metrics reports and assists the Warehouse Manager as needed.
