Essential Job Functions:
•    Greet customers and respond to their questions and requests, and explain store policies. Must deal with customers and situations in a courteous and tactful way.
•    Clerks are expected to make a clean, neat, friendly, and professional impression on customers and associates. 
•    Transact Sales – Clerk will operate fuel center register and be able to handle transactions in a quick and efficient manner. Clerks will read and process coupons, checks, credit cards, lottery tickets and other receipts to ensure proper accounting. 
•    Monitor Fueling – Ensure safe fueling practices by monitoring customers at multiple fueling positions continually. 
•    Merchandising – Clerk will participate in merchandising by receiving and stocking merchandise both inside and outside of the fuel center’s kiosk.
•    Fuel Center Clerks will also be responsible for the following: (a) General cleaning both at the dispensers and the kiosk including the use of oil absorbent on the concrete of the fuel center, (b) Emptying of trash containers and picking up the parking area surrounding the fuel center, (c) Filling of windshield washer buckets, paper towels, and any other supplies, and (d) Changing of messages on street sign as instructed by store manager.
•    Clerks must communicate courteously and effectively with customers and other associates. 
•    Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
•    Adhere to company policies & procedures, particularly in the areas of dress code, grooming, sanitation, and maintenance of a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
•    Perform any and all duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
•    Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed

•    Must understand and follow established gasoline operations and maintenance. 
•    Must be able to complete daily cleaning duties and document work accomplished on daily duty form.

•    Past work record reflects dependability and integrity. 

Physical Demands:
•    Standing & Walking – Frequent standing & walking. Estimated total time 4 hrs. Maximum continuous time up to 1 hrs.
•    Sitting – Rarely required. Estimated total time 4 hrs. Maximum continuous time 1 hour.
•    Lifting & Carrying – Max weight 50 lbs., average weight less than 10 lbs., distance carried less than 5 feet. Must frequently lift items under 10 lbs. and items between 11-25 lbs., occasionally lift items 26-50 lbs., and rarely lift 51 - 100 lbs.
•    Pushing and Pulling –Occasionally pushing or pulling grocery carts from fueling station to back of the store (200 – 300 yards)
•    Climbing – Occasionally climb ladder, stairs, and plastic two-step stool. 
•    Other – This position also requires frequent bending, squatting, and kneeling, as well as constant use of either arm or both for reaching in all directions. Other requirements include twisting, neck flexion/extension, and cervical rotation.
•    Work Conditions – Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, sudden changes in temperatures and fumes. Exposure to outside 25% and inside 75%.
