A new and exciting position has opened for a Nursing Director Perioperative Services for an acute care Hospital that serves San Luis Obispo County. The Nursing Director Perioperative Services will lead a high-performing department in this 100+ bed hospital. This facility has a great reputation for the services it offers which includes Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Birthing Services, Pediatrics and Trauma.  The hospital has been recognized as High Performing in many of these services lines.

Leading operations for this 9-OR Surgical Services Department, will report to a tenured and experienced Chief Nursing Officer. The Perioperative Services Director will receive an abundance of support from the Operating Room RN Manager and a CPAN PACU Nursing Supervisor. This team is known to be very cohesive and collaborative, providing positive patient outcomes and excellent satisfaction scores.

The surgical team are experts in surgical services as well as a variety of minimally invasive surgical options which includes the use of robotic surgery. This opportunity will allow an ambitious Director to step into a vibrant and welcoming environment. In addition to the busy inpatient Operating Department, the Nursing Director of Perioperative Services is responsible for leading team management and operations of the PACU, Same Day Surgery, Procedural Services, and the Sterile Processing Department.

As the Nursing Director, you'll embody and promote our hospital's Mission Statement and Core Values through your performance and behavior. Your responsibilities will involve developing, maintaining, and coordinating departmental operations to ensure safe patient care and staff development. You'll also play a pivotal role in developing policies and procedures, managing budgets, overseeing staffing, and nurturing the professional growth of personnel within the department.
