StoreRoom Attendant

Job Summary & Essential Functions:

Handle, store, load and unload a variety of materials and tools. All work performed must meet current AAR and quality assurance guidelines and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform duties such as load, unload, store, deliver a variety of material such as castings, forgings, plate, pipe, insulation, paint and supplies

* Sort and count material as instructed. Check incoming material against packing slips and for damage, store and stack material as instructed

* Disburse such items as safety equipment, tools and parts as instructed

* Determine and obtain necessary supplies and replacement parts

* Follow all safety rules and procedures

* Interact with crew members and supervisors in a team environment

* Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner

* Comply with the established safety policies and support continuing awareness for safety

* Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment and forklifts safely and proficiently

* Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut, and gouge

* Eye-Hand coordination

* Attention to details

Required Experience / Education / Training / Certifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent is desired

* Good oral and written communication skills

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

* The environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid and dusty conditions

* Employees are required to use personal protective equipment as environmental conditions dictate
