Job Description:

Under the Director of Operations supervision, oversee the VGM operations for Gaming floor.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure efficient operation of the unit.
  • Develop and implement standards of quality and performance in all phases of VGM operations. Ensure all New York State Lottery Regulations and procedures are being followed, including compliance with Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Creates and updates gaming floor design, using facility CAD.
  • Coordinates gaming machine moves, with vendors and NYS Lottery through gaming analytics, to increase revenues.
  • Ensures that the video lottery gaming facility is operating effectively through the management of the Manager on Duty/MOD program. This program handles all upper-level customer service and facility related issues and ensures resolution. Develops policies and procedures to ensure efficiency of the MOD program.
  • Works with NYS data system MGAM to retrieve financial, statistical and voucher management related information.
  • Manages the company’s customer service and environmental management programs in all areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the Operations Supervisors and manages the supervision of the Floor Attendants
  • Initiates capital budget to replace, remodel equipment and facilities for responsible areas.
  • Manages payroll budget for responsible areas, through labor analytics.
  • Observes execution of gaming action within the VGM operation and adherence to company policy, compliance with departmental internal controls and New York State Video Lottery Regulations
  • Recognizes and develops new operational opportunities to continually enhance the products and experience for the customer. Recommends change efforts within departments to improve operations and ensure operating goals are achieved.
  • Reviews Video Lottery operating and financial data with the Director of Operations and recommends action as appropriate.
  • Oversees the hiring, promoting, training, scheduling, and termination process for areas of responsibility. Ensures that management personnel coordinate and direct work activities of unit personnel in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Coordinates the activities of all responsible personnel; evaluates the performance of VGM management personnel and assists in the review of non-management personnel in responsible areas. Ensure that management personnel coordinate and direct work activities of unit personnel in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with all employees. Manage all interpersonal conflicts that may arise in a positive and fair manner.
  • Perform other tasks necessary to provide satisfactory service to clients/customers.
  • Must role model company guest service program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a gaming environment is preferred.
  • A 4-year degree in Business or a related discipline is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.

  • Able to lift and carry up to thirty pounds occasionally.
