Construction* Project Manager Site/Earthwork
We are actively seeking a Project Manager Site/Earthwork in Pensacola Florida for a General Contractor. To coordinate operations and oversee workers at various construction sites in Southwest Florida. The candidate should have a solid background in the field. Extensive leadership skills and experience with the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. Honesty, integrity, hardworking and dependable Foreman/Superintendent.
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in various construction projects.
We are looking for PM’s that have general contractor project management experience. Commercial construction management. Also civil/ site and utility project managers. Site and utility meaning major excavation, FDOT work, underground utilities such as storm, water main, fire main, sewer, lift stations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
- Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
- Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
- Transmit and explain work orders to laborers.
- Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
- Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded or problems encountered.
- Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
- Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance.
- Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee time and wages, daily receipts, or inspection results.
Requirements:
· Perform a variety of duties which may often change.
· Work within standards of accuracy.
· Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.
· Use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
· Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
· Carry tools and equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, documents, instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Routine report writing.
· Effective communication skills vital.
