Your Opportunity: Taylor Print Impressions is seeking an Accounting Manager in our Orlando, FL facility.
This role is responsible to prepare and oversee preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, sales and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work with General Manager and functional leaders to prioritize, communicate, analyze and execute on annual business initiatives.
  • Support all aspects of operational accounting function within the company including cost accounting related policies and procedures. Work with each Operational Accounting team that is responsible for all cost accounting functions across multiple ERP systems including standard cost development for new products, updates to existing standard costing on an annual basis (or more frequent basis if deemed necessary), review, and calculation of labor and overhead rates.
  • Partner with Operations Leadership to outline and execute the plan for standardizing cost accounting and reporting methodologies across all facilities.
  • Leading role in continued operational process improvement based on financial metrics and KPI's across all solution sets and operating facilities. Use rigorous analysis of data to provide business unit leadership with real-time awareness of operating trends and areas for improvement.
  • Plan and facilitate monthly operational review ensuring the reviews are balanced, data driven, and focused on continuous business improvement.
  • Be intentional about advancing and enhancing financial acumen among company leaders and staff.
  • Ensure annual budgeting is completed in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining budget ownership with the department and business leaders.
  • Monthly financial accounting is done timely and correctly. Institute and sustain proper accounting practices and controls. Ensure financial statements accurately reflect the financial position and performance of the organization.
  • Support staff and leaders in developing understanding of accounting best practices.
  • Work with Taylor Corporation's Corporate Controller and VP Finance to ensure compliance to corporate timelines and policies.
  • Establish best practices and ensure proper internal controls and financial integrity for Cost of Goods Produced and Inventory.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial Budget that includes projecting new product revenue and related cost of goods sold estimates.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses to frame resource allocation or growth/divestment decisions. Generate financial frameworks and scenario analysis to guide internal resource allocation and measure profitability returns and effectiveness.
  • Work with senior business leaders regarding all proposed Capital Expenditures to ensure reasonable payback using ROI analysis and key business assumptions. Perform post mortems on significant expenditures to ensure financial benefit has been achieved.
  • Provide important direction on financial systems and data infrastructure specifically in support of a new ERP system. Partner with finance, IT and operational leadership to enhance data quality and accessibility. Identify information requirements, recommend improvements to existing systems and data environments, and work with stakeholders to develop and implement enhancement solutions.
  • Provide guidance and oversight on projects/process that impact inventory and COGS. Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business
  • Operationally minded and financially inquisitive
  • Progressive responsibility in operational accounting and finance leadership
  • 3+ years of experience with operational/cost accounting in large manufacturing environment with proven progression of responsibilities in standard product costing, financial analysis, and internal controls maintenance
  • Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams
  • Possess apositive,consultative mindset that promotes improvements in operating effectiveness, efficiency and net income
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrates professional presence, communicates articulately and confidently
  • Change Agent with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple activities and shifting priorities under tight timeframes
  • Ability to get results; can proactively and autonomously drive initiatives and projects from start to finish.
  • Ability toprepareexecutive-levelsummaries, conclusions and recommendationsbased ondetail data; canproactively and autonomously drive initiatives and projects from start to finish
  • Highly curious; strong analytical andproblem solving skills and ability to drive issues to resolution
  • PC literate with a proficiency in exceland model building

We Would Also Prefer:

  • MBA, CPA or CMA
  • Previously served as primary financial partner to functional or divisional leadership with full P/L responsibility
  • Experience working with multiple ERP's and large databases
  • Experience with implementation of new Financial and/or ERP systems
