Location: Starkville, MS Plant
Shift: 8-5 M-F
Starting Pay Rate: $18.00
Program Dates: Summer 2024 (May 20 – Aug 9)
Time Commitment: Full-time
Format: On-site (Starkville, MS)
Role Summary
The position will support our Process Engineering Team in our efforts to maintain and continually improve our manufacturing processes. This individual must be a hands-on, be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, have the ability to proactively identify problems and propose effective solutions, and have excellent communication and analytical skills.
Description of Responsibilities
- Observe and document the current state of our manufacturing processes. Using this information, propose possible improvements.
- Assist in the planning and documentation of the installation of new production lines.
- Complete production line observations related to costing and efficiency.
- Participate in daily and weekly production problem solving team meetings.
- Research and propose new technologies or processes that would possibly improve our processes.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
