The FOH Lead Server is responsible for assisting the Front of the House Manager and Lead, as well as server responsibilities. The FOH Lead Server will not only carry out Server responsibilities, they will also assist with leading the Front of the House Team. Ensuring customers receive the best service possible, upholding a constant level of staff productivity and maintaining health and safety standards within the bar. They are dedicated to exceptional customer service and coordinate the efforts of others on staff to ensure satisfied customer.

  • Assists Manager with server availability and assure coverage of bar and restaurant
  • Expected to handle and cover shift shortages and unexpected shift growth
  • Assist to maintain POS System
  • Collaborate with other departments
  • Close out cash drawer, assure building is secure, close building and set alarm
  • Maintain positive and friendly attitude
  • Expertise knowledge of the menu to converse intelligently with customers
  • Explain ingredients, preparation techniques, and available substitutions to customers
  • Suggest wine pairing and promote other menu items
  • Greet and take customer orders
  • Serve customers timely and properly
  • Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs, sales taxes and collect payment
  • Bus tables, clean tables, clean and maintain restaurant appearance and cleanliness
  • Roll utensils, stock bar, stock bar foods and prepare bar food from kitchen
  • Stock and operate beverage cart as needed
  • Assist with coordinating and leading servers to keep operations flowing
  • Handle customer complaints when Manager is unavailable
  • Assists in promoting collaboration amongst servers and kitchen staff
  • Stock and operate Beverage Cart
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager
  • Must be flexible to work weekends, nights and select holidays
Requirements:
  • Strong Leadership experience required
  • Previous Restaurant Leadership highly preferred
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Maintain a polite and positive attitude, especially when dealing with rude customers
  • Multitasking to serve the needs of various customers at the same time
  • Interacting sufficiently with customers to build goodwill and attend to their needs, but also being sensitive about giving people their space
  • Well-groomed and neatly dressed consistently to reflect positively on the restaurant
  • TOAST Experience a Plus!
  • Golf Course Experience a Plus!
