Position Snapshot
The Logistics Coordinator analyzes sales orders for requirements and arranges cost-effective transportation for outbound and inbound shipments. To be successful in this role you will:
  • Arrange product deliveries and material pickups, single and multiple stops; choose motor carrier according to the most cost-effective arrangement and establish routes for outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Using company software and computer systems to build shipments and create bills of lading.
  • Confer with sales to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
  • Communicate with facilities, customers, and vendors to correct discrepancies, arrange for special equipment, and direct driver activities.
  • Enter vendor information to set up new venders and maintain vendor information.
Qualifications to be considered for the role:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. (some college preferred)
  • One year of related work experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
