Inventory Control Clerk I

The Inventory Control Clerk is an integral member of our production team. You will be responsible performing a variety of tasks including issuing jobs, weighing material, validating weights, receiving material, completing jobs, and submitting assay samples.

Hours: 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday

Responsibilities:

• Issue jobs to the production floor
• Ensure that the production area always has a steady flow of jobs, and communicate any constraints
• Maintain accuracy of inventory
• Confirm weight of material received and transact in ERP system (Syteline)
• Validate that all material issued to the job is accounted for and immediately bring to Metal Control’s attention any discrepancies
• Work from move tickets, job paperwork, and verbal and written instructions from the supervisor
• Use calculator, scales, and other equipment necessary to perform required duties
• Maintain necessary records and files, and prepare reports
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition

Requirements:

• Good math skills
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Computer skills required
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds throughout the shift
• Able to push and pull carts loaded with product
• Willing and able to follow all safety rules and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Able to stand and walk during the majority of the 10-hour shift
• High school diploma or GED

Work Environment: This position is in a manufacturing environment, where noise is loud and typical of heavy machinery.
