POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for performing the required inspection operations based on the Job Traveler and Quality Criteria throughout the manufacturing process: Receiving, In-Process, Final, and Product Release.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the position):

• Perform and document all inspections based on the Quality Inspection plans.
• Inspect to the AQL / C=0 Sampling plan provided
• Perform 1st Article Layouts when required
• Assist in Calibration when needed
• Perform Gage R&R tasks when required
• Assist in Problem Solving

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 yrs Inspection Experience
• Good communication skills both written and oral
• Good organization skills
• Experience using the following gauging: mics, calipers, comparators, height gauges, thread gages
• Basic Computer Skills

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS (not necessary but preferred):
• Experience with Inspection of Medical Devices
• Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI-ASQ)
• Proficient with GD&T / blueprint reading

• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Eyesight and hearing must be correctable to a standard level.
• Regularly required to sit for extended periods; frequently required to stand, walk and use business equipment daily such as P.C., copier, fax, telephone, etc.; occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 40 lbs.


The working hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m; to 11:30 p.m.
Occasional Saturday Hours
Overtime is frequently available with Manager's permission.
The workday is 8 hours with a break before and after the unpaid half-hour mid-shift meal break.
