Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and objectives.
- Identify and evaluate crucial variables for cost estimation.
- Collect firsthand data from various sources such as sites, warehouses, and venues.
- Conduct thorough research to gather data on labor costs, material expenses, production timelines, and more.
- Utilize software tools for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting purposes.
- Review offers and quotations from subcontractors and vendors.
- Conduct risk analysis to mitigate potential project setbacks.
- Prepare and present detailed estimate reports to relevant stakeholders, including project managers and clients.
- Foster strong relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.
- Provide expert consultation on project planning, including schedules and manpower requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in estimation or a related role.
- Familiarity with financial principles and project management concepts.
- Proficiency in research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and estimation formulas.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency in IT tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and reliability.
- Outstanding organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, or a relevant field.
- Certification as a Professional Estimator (CPE) would be advantageous.
