Job Description
We are urgently looking for an Automotive Paint Prep/Body Technician to join our team! The Automotive Paint Prep/Body Technician is responsible for prepping vehicles from a variety of makes and models to customer specifications at a high level of skill and quality. If you have experience with automotive paint and are looking for a new opportunity that is stable with no prospecting required – then this may be the job for you! Painting experience is a Plus!
Pay will be negotiable based off experience.
Responsibilities:
- Receive automotive inventory and review preapproved paint work
- Properly spray the application of primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats
- Blend and apply 2 and 3 stage colors as needed
- Work closely with prep staff and other painters to meet work demands as a team
- Partner with additional departments as applicable to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain company provided tools and additional equipment per company standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in automotive paint
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a checking/savings account or pay card with routing numbers for direct deposit
- General understanding of automotive details and features.
- Ability to sit, bend, squat, and hold various positions for long periods of time
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and set deadlines.
- Ability to work well with multiple departments
- Motivated, personable, team player with a superior work ethic.
- Ability to operate manual transmission is a plus.
This is a full-time position. Monday-Friday, some Saturdays. Sundays off.
Commission pay.
