Landscape Maintenance Laborer (Bergen County, Passaic County, Morris County)
A landscaping company located in northern NJ is looking to hire multiple full-time landscape laborer to perform lawn maintenance, planting and construction. We are targeting reliable, motivated candidates eager to learn the landscaping industry and grow with our company. Need to have a team-oriented mind set with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently providing quality Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance services that meet or exceed the standards of our leadership team and our customers.
Duties include:
• Performing tasks involving physical landscaping labor, so the ability to lift 70 pounds is important.
• Review or take direction and carry out work orders on daily basis
• Participate and lead team effort to complete jobs safely within a budgeted time frame
• Report any and all concerns with customer accounts to his / her supervisor. You should enjoy exploring yards, gardens, and creative ideas to improve customer landscapes.
• Handle company trucks, equipment and tools safely
• Maintain cleanliness and care in usage, storage and transport of all equipment
• Keep job sites clean and safe
Requirements:
• 0-3 years of landscaping, landscape maintenance, lawn maintenance, lawn care experience
• Ability to operate hand and power tools of various types
• Demonstrate safe operation of equipment
• Must be able to operate a weed wacker and lawn mower
• Professionalism, punctuality, reliability and neatness
• Ability to listen well, follow instructions while maintaining a good attitude
• You should be organized and have the ability to multi-task with time management and logistical skills being a plus
• Follows workplace and vehicle safety procedures consistently
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record a plus, but not required
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) and snow plowing experience a plus
