REPORTS TO: ENTERTAINEMENT & EVENTS MANAGER

STATUS: PART-TIME

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is professional work primarily assisting with load-in/load-out of production and band equipment for Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater (SMPA) concert related events. Activities associated with the job include assisting colleagues, other SMPA departments, and volunteers with executing special events at the park.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Directly aligning with the SMPA Mission Statement and Core Values
  • Providing exceptional customer service to stakeholders by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Performs the Load-in & out of band equipment and rental equipment
  • Cabling: assisting audio & lighting crew as directed
  • Band Set changes
  • Ensure that members of the Band(s) have required items needed to perform the show(s)
  • Responsible for hanging show banners and other signage in the venue.
  • Assist lighting & Audio crew as directed by Stage Manager or PM; Spotlight operation if required
  • Maintenance and Repair of Sound, Light and Stage Equipment, including staging items
  • Maintain and secure House Backline, and supplies
  • Operate and care for stage areas in a safe, clean manner, including trash removal
  • Assist with any Special Events operations
  • Performs additional/related duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years minimum Tour and Stage Production experience
  • Experience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • High School Diploma
  • Flexible work schedule as nights and weekends will be MANDATORY

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
  • Facility has moderate to loud noise level.
  • Ability to work long shifts with adequate breaks
