Job Description:

Oregon State Treasury has a new and exciting opportunity for an Outreach Coordinator to join our Trust Property Division!

The Trust Property Division has the responsibility of administering the state's Unclaimed Property Program and Estates Administration Program. The position of Outreach Coordinator will help promote and increase awareness of these programs and develop relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.

Job Duties Summary

  • Plan and coordinate outreach efforts designed to raise awareness of our programs.

  • Develop engagement tools to meet established priorities.

  • Provide presentations to the public, public and private organizations, facilitate education seminars, and participate in state and national panel discussions.

  • Develop and manage relationships with organizations and business to promote knowledge and participation in our programs.

  • Ensure that outreach strategies focus on reaching underserved communities.

  • Develop content and panel topics for national conferences and training programs.

  • Monitor outreach effectiveness, evaluate tactics, and make recommendations to adjust to improve results.

  • Serve as primary liaison with the public concerning our programs.

  • Develop content for use in press releases, social media, newsletters, blogs, web, and presentations.

  • Manage promotions and outreach initiatives through a variety of partners and stakeholders.

Work Schedule

This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid (remote and in-office) work location schedule; in-office work will be predominately from Treasury's Salem office. The person in this role will work from the Salem Office 1-2 days per week. The person in this role will require training and thus more time in the office while being trained.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, public relations, marketing, journalism, or the behavioral or social sciences or related degree; OR

  • Three years technical or higher-level experience directly related to the position.
