Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Terms: 13-26 weeks

Objective: We are seeking a licensed Clinical Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical services during clinic operating hours, supporting the overall health care status of eligible American Indian and Alaska Native patient populations. The selected candidate will play a vital role in optimizing medication regimens, providing therapeutic drug monitoring, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities: As a Clinical Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing medication regimens for effectiveness, toxicity, and cost-effectiveness
  • Evaluating medication regimens for appropriateness, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, non-compliance, and adverse drug events
  • Serving as a therapeutic consultant to the medical staff
  • Accurately filling, checking, and dispensing prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs
  • Counseling patients on medication use, storage, cautions, and side effects
  • Administering routine vaccinations
  • Managing drug inventory and supply, including ordering, stocking, and notifying staff of shortages
  • Utilizing pharmacy databases such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), RPMS, ScriptPro, and Pyxis MedStation

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Certificate of Immunizations
  • Proficiency in pharmacy databases such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) and RPMS; ScriptPro and Script Pro Central; and Pyxis MedStation and CII Safe
  • Clinical background preferred
  • Willingness to be away from home for an extended period
  • Covid vaccination preferred
