JOB DESCRIPTION

The Wild Thyme Company needs Servers every day of the week, with most events on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays! Hiring immediately in the San Diego area. Weddings, Parties, Corporate Events. Are you looking to make money with a fun group of foodies? Look no further!


Our experienced Server will display the highest quality of customer service and
perform food and drink serving duties at special events while interacting with
guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner. The goal is to enhance
customer satisfaction so that we can maintain and expand our clientele. The
Server will report directly to the Captain and Event Leads.

You are to ensure that the following goals are met:

1. Arrive to work on time.

2. Unload truck and load-in to venue for set-up.

3. Perform set up, monitor, serve, replenish, and breakdown of various stations (i.e., Action, Hor D’oeuvres,Coffee, Buffet Stations, Beverage, and Scullery) for specified functions according to event requirements.

4. Set up room as instructed by event Lead or Captain to include linen, service‐ware and glassware.

5. Perform side work

6. Attend pre-shift huddle meeting before event to learn function particulars, including guest expectations and service

7. Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests

8. Wine pouring during service for plated dinner

9. Bussing

10. Communicate any areas of needs, issues, and concerns from guests to Event Lead/Captain/Event Manager/Respective Sales Rep

11. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with company policies/service procedures/standards

12. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment

13. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy

14. Maintain positive guest relations at all times

15. Be familiar with food menu and available venue facilities to respond to guest inquiries accurately

16. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction

17. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas/stations

18. Practice “Clean as you go” policies

19. Perform other duties as assigned

20. Complete closing duties:

a) Breakdown all F&B stations, as specified

b) Pack and clean all equipment, as assigned

c) Load truck
