Attend Custodian

Job Description:

The job function of the Attendant Custodian is to maintain a neat and orderly environment in the general public area.

• Keep premises neat and orderly in the general public area, including the removal at regular intervals during the shift of discarded bet slips, tickets, racing profiles and other debris from the betting tables and floors.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors and lavatories in both employee and public area. Also dust and clean the furniture, walls, windows, fixtures and equipment.
• Provide an adequate supply of betting slips, pencils, etc. in the public area for customer use.
• Directs the public to various windows and assists customers in the preparation of betting slips.
• Assists in the timely and accurate posting of racing information including scratches, jockey changes, results, etc. and any other information as directed by the branch Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining good business order, using courtesy and tact when dealing with the customers.
• Knowledge of alarm and emergency procedures and an awareness of activity in the customer areas.
• Assists manager in maintaining order in the branch customer area and pointing out undesirables or disorderly persons.
• Verifies bank deposits and makes police escorted bank deposits.
• Keeps outside premises clean and free of debris. Shovels and salts snow on sidewalks when necessary.

Minimum Job Qualification:

• Must have a High School Diploma
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to clean using commercial products
