Violations & Compliance Coordinator – Stellar Management
Stellar Management, a leading real estate management company, is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Violations & Compliance Coordinator to oversee its portfolio of 120 residential and office buildings in New York City. As the ideal candidate, you possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to consolidate and analyze large amounts of data from open resources to provide effective guidance to various teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve DOB, FDNY, DOH, HPD, DEP, & LPC violations & stop work orders to ensure compliance with city regulations
- Maintain and track progress of Portfolio Local Laws, including 11, 26, 33, 84, 87, 95, 97, 152, 191, 160, and others, and ensure that deadlines are met
- Manage third-party legal counsel's response to court hearings and other legal issues
- Ensure commercial tenants, including office and retail tenants, are compliant with all NYC municipality codes
- Provide expediting guidance to Property Management, Operations, Acquisitions, Asset Management, Development, and Construction Teams to ensure timely resolution of violations
- Coordinate and manage deliverables between architects, engineers, expeditors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Compile and present a monthly dashboard to the Executive Team to exhibit month-over-month trending progress
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in NYC building compliance, including construction, architecture, consultation, or property management
- 2-5 years of experience working with DOB, HPD, DEP, FDNY, DOHM, or other regulatory agencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in Yardi and Site Compli is a plus
