Role

As a Master Machinist (also known as CNC Machinist, Machine Shop Supervisor), you will operate and maintain a variety of CNC machines, perform manual machining tasks, troubleshoot issues, and read blueprints to set up machines for production runs. Your expertise in CNC machining, manual machining techniques, and strong troubleshooting skills will be key to your success in this role.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Master Machinist or similar role.
  • Expertise in operating CNC machines including grinders, lathes (2-4 axis and 5+ axis), mills (3-4 axis VMC and 5+ axis VMC), routers, Swiss lathes, wire bending machines, etc.
  • Proficient in using calipers and micrometers for precision measurements.
  • Experience with ERP software for production tracking and management.
  • Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques and equipment such as manual lathes, router tables, shapers, and vertical lathes.
  • Familiarity with CAM software for CNC programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in deburring and die attach/bonding.
  • Excellent shop math skills for calculations and measurements.
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities for CNC machines.
  • Background in tool/die/mold setup.
