We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Ultrasound Technician to join our team. As an Ultrasound Technician at NCG Associates, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Select appropriate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal images
  • Properly position patients and ultrasound transducers to capture images of the targeted area
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze ultrasound images
  • Document patient information and scan results accurately in the electronic medical records system
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any malfunctions
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and participate in continuing education programs

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
  • Certification as an Ultrasound Technician (ARDMS or CCI)
  • State licensure as an Ultrasound Technician
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician
  • Proficiency in performing various ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular
  • Knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Benefits

Location: Great Bend, KS

Class/Area: Ultrasound Technologist | Need them to be able to do abdomen, OB, vascular and ECHO

Pay Rate: very attractive and to be discussed in the interview

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: 14 Hours per Week: 40

Shift and Time: 8 hour Day shift

Schedule Details: Mixed Schedule 7-3:30, 8-4:30, or 8:30-5

Weekend Rotation: Only when on-call

On-call Requirements: During the week they rotate call. It’s from 5PM to 10PM |During the weekend it’s 7AM to 10PM. No overnight call. Hopefully, there will be three techs to rotate the call with.

Holidays Requirements: Yes, based on department needs

Floating Requirements: No

Experience Required: 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist

Experience Preferred: Registered Radiographer (ARRT) plus one or more additional modality registries - | One-year experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/ Vascular Technologist with the RDMS and RVT credentials

License Required: Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that meets requirements by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (A.R.D.M.S.)

Certificates Required: Credentialed RDMS and RVT in the specialty Exams OR a candidate for examination with A.R.D.M.S. for specialty examinations listed below: (AB) or (OB/GYN) and (VT)
