What's the role?

The Software Sales Account Manager will assist in growing and supporting Hilti Tool Services with a specific focus on ON!Track & Fleet Management with local, regional, and global partners. This role will perform productivity analyses with VIP customers and design optimal solutions to improve customer’s business processes. In addition, it will coordinate with local sales team to support to increase sales and penetration of ON!Track & large Fleet Contracts increasing the numbers of Solution Customers (ON!Track & Fleet >$15k) as part of our global customer engagement strategy. The Senior Solution Consultant will be expected to mentor/coach/train their SC peers to help them learn the software, share best practices, sales management process, and back office processes. Provide strategic support to peers as well as subject matter expert knowledge during productivity analysis.

What does the role involve?

Focus on business development of Hilti software & services in a defined geographic area among current and prospective customers
Analyze sales results, review customer fact base, identify key trades and customer potential to develop tactical sales strategy
Collaborate with sales leadership team and train their Solution Consultant peers to help them learn the software, share best practices, sales management process, and back office processes
Building the competence for solution selling with strategic trainings, discussions, and touchpoints with the sales leadership team and Solution Consultant peers
Coordinate efforts of entire team of Account Managers, Regional Managers, Division Managers, and marketing team members with a goal of improving market reach of Hilti software & services
Align with Solutions Manager and Services Manager on new enhancements and facilitate that information to their teams and Solution Consultant peers
Share best practice through experiences exchanges with other MO Sr. Solutions Consultants
Steer pipeline management in sales process in collaboration with the sales team and support the execution of process from lead generation to contract closing
With a Consultative approach, will conduct onsite analysis for ON!Track and coordinate Tool Park Analysis, including developing customer-specific optimized solutions.
Additionally, Sr. Solution Consultants will be expected to support and provide expertise during other Solutions Consultants’ Analysis.
Present customer-specific solutions with sales management team to decision maker
Support customers after contract signing, through the implementation, training, and ongoing usage of ON!Track and Fleet Management solutions Support Solution Managers by leading or facilitating weekly or bi-weekly team meetings to assimilate information and best practices
Provide and lead sales organization discussions of product expertise and support resources
Prepare assigned region(s) and local sales teams for product and service launches and upgrades Plan and participate in trade shows and other industry events
Visit construction jobsites and offices to demonstrate Hilti's value proposition to key stakeholders within customer’s organization
Communicate with customers to identify new market opportunities relevant to local market
Maintain knowledge of assigned product portfolio and related services (i.e. Fleet, LTS, etc.)
Facilitate startup as well as ongoing training for new and existing customers
Assist with training of new field specialists and assist with launch readiness in their MSA
Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:

  • • Willingness to travel up to 50% (While this role is based in Chicago, this will support a large, multi-state territory within the North Central US).
  • • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, required
  • • Minimum of 6 (six) years consultative selling to large, complex organizations required
  • • Training experience preferred
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment: Marketing, Sales, and other corporate team members
  • • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
  • • Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • • High level of entrepreneurship and presentation skills
