About this job

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend on-site and off-site recruitment events at high schools, colleges, community centers, etc.
  • Interface and communicate with community leaders to plan and schedule hiring, educational, and promotional events.
  • Partner with Park leadership to understand staffing needs and positions across the park.
  • Monitor applicant traffic through applicant tracking systems.
  • Follow-up with prospective and newly hired employees through full hiring process.
  • Track and analyze statistical employment data to coordinate targeted recruitment efforts.
  • Work in Employment Center to screen applicants, conduct interviews, and complete hiring paperwork.
  • Communicate with Human Resources management daily to discuss successes and needs.
  • Perform general clerical duties including typing, faxing, photocopying, etc.
  • Serve as a Park Ambassador and work to position Six Flags America as the Employer of Choice in Prince George’s County.
  • Cultivate positive working relationship with Park leadership and community partners.
  • Responsible for executing a consistent onboarding communication strategy.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Reporting Structure
  • Reports directly to the Human Resources Supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be able to work from January-May. 
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask.
  • Computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exhibit demonstrated leadership and positive guest service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.
  • Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including daytime hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
