Impact you will make

As Product Owner, you will be responsible for transforming the product vision into a workable product roadmap through forward-looking planning, regular product backlog maintenance, and tactical prioritization of tasks. This role will work closely with product managers, marketing managers, implementation, and support teams, and most importantly the software development team to deliver new product offerings and improve those that already exist. Product Owners need to think big while remaining pragmatic and who always have their mind on delivering value customers will pay for.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define, develop, shape, and refine business requirements of a new, complex software product at the heart of healthcare's most difficult processes
  • Work cross functionally to fulfill the product roadmap, including implementation & support teams
  • Define and document use cases, user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Integrate internal and external product feedback into a cohesive user experience
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, continuously and transparently communicating the prioritized backlog and status of projects to stakeholders
  • Perform user acceptance testing of software features
  • Exercise common sense and good judgment with decisions, escalation of issues, and prioritization of work
  • Provides timely and accurate updates to project leadership and client(s)
  • Engage key stakeholders in backlog prioritization and acceptance or rejection of work results
  • Engage customers or users to gain feedback and keep them apprised of product release status
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master & software delivery team to run successful Quarterly Planning, Release Planning and Sprint Planning sessions, as well as Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Create or collaborate on internal and external documentation including release notes and marketing collateral
  • Coordinate with Product Manager for new feature or product launches: Beta, GA, and associated release activities
  • Contribute to training and educating internal stakeholders and external customers on new feature functionality

What you will bring

  • Motivation to make a difference, comfort communicating where you see opportunities for improvement
  • 2+ years of experience working as Product Owner with an Agile Scrum team in a technical or software development setting
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into user stories
  • Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus among internal team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to critical timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in understanding and contributing towards documentation including release notes, training materials, user guides, and implementation guides
  • Confident, clear communication both at a technical and nontechnical level
  • Ability to work in or lead small, highly focused teams as necessary
  • Comfort with breaking down, defining, and managing multifaceted processes and/or product issues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
