GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Multisystemic Therapy Supervisor, performs professional therapeutic functions for children and adolescents in therapy sessions, crisis intervention, and disposition that are consist with the principles and practices of MST for Center for Children’s Integrated Services-Specialty Therapeutic Services; performs related work as required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters in Social Work and Michigan Master Level Social Worker (LMSW) credential, Clinical. Will consider a candidate with a Limited License as a Master Level Social Worker (LLMSW) credential AND three (3) years of clinical experience in the treatment of mental health/ antisocial behaviors in youth, OR candidate with a Master’s degree in a human service field (defined as Counseling/Guidance or Psychology), who also must possess a Master Level Social Worker (LMSW) credential AND three (3) years of clinical experience in the treatment of mental health/ antisocial behaviors in youth. The employee with a Limited License (LLMSW) must take and pass the ASWB Examination within six (6) years in accordance with the State of Michigan requirements to retain employment. Note: GHS will follow all state of Michigan requirements. If the requirements change, the job description will be updated to reflect such changes. All licensed clinical staff must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.” OR Masters in Psychology and Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LLP) credential. Will consider a candidate with a Temporary Limited License Psychologist (TLLP) credential AND three (3) years of clinical experience in the treatment of mental health/ antisocial behaviors in youth. The employee with a TLLP must pass the Exam for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPP) AND make application for the LLP within 18 months of hire OR prior to the expiration of the TLLP, whichever is sooner to retain employment. OR Masters in Counseling and Michigan License Professional Counselor (LPC) credential OR a Limited License as a License Professional Counselor (LLPC) credential AND three (3) years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families in a clinical setting. The employee with an LLPC must take and pass the National Counselor Examination (NCE) within six (6) years of hire to retain employment. The employee with an LLPC must also make application for the LPC upon passing the NCE All of the above employees must maintain valid licensure to retain employment. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of family systems theory, social ecological theory, behavior therapies, and cognitive behavioral therapy and their applications. Must retain DCH qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional. Must be willing to work flexible hours including occasional weekends and holidays. Position will share on-call in rotation with the rest of the MST clinical team. Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and use of a vehicle during working hours.
