Typical Day in the Life

In this role you will work with clients in various healthcare care provider settings (hospital, health system, skilled nursing and other senior care, medical/surgical, other ancillary healthcare services) to provide consulting, reimbursement, audit and accounting services.

A typical day as a Healthcare Accounting & Finance Senior Manager might include the following:

    Provide onsite and offsite consulting services related to healthcare financial, operational and industry issues.
  • Research new and existing regulations and laws related to healthcare and apply that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
  • Request and collect appropriate information to diagnose and solve client issues.
  • Initiates and leads client engagement meetings and determine timelines, objectives and expectations of an engagement.
  • Managing projects and teams to deliver audits, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, or other financial statement or report preparation.
  • Plan and perform all phases of an engagement.
  • Prepare and analyze Medicare and Medicaid cost reports utilizing specialized software to meet federal and state regulations by required deadlines.
  • Participate in staff and client training events.
  • Supervises complex audits and other projects and staffs engagements to achieve objectives including staff development, client needs, and engagement profitability.
  • Outlines engagement objectives, issues, findings and recommendations in a variety of client situations.
  • Reviews workpapers, client communications, reports, and financial statements prior to Partner involvement.
  • Provide financial analysis to improve client processes and operations.
  • Maintains awareness of general business trends and issues and applies that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
  • Networks, builds relationships and attracts new clients or business to the Firm.
  • Participates in industry functions and community organizations.
  • Capitalizes on personal and professional experiences in order to develop business and practice lines.
  • Attends training seminars, professional development and networking events.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Healthcare Administration.
  • You have 7 or more years of accounting or consulting experience.
  • You have an Active CPA license is preferred.
  • You have a few years of experience in the healthcare industry- financial, operational, budgeting, coding, or reimbursement preferred.
  • You have the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • You have the ability to problem solve and note issues while providing resolution to the client.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • Demonstrates critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Skills in networking and developing business.
  • Location: Hybrid in one of our Eide Bailly office is preferred, but open to telecommute.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Benefits and Compensation

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $200,000

Beyond base salary, Eide Bailly provides benefits such as: generous paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, life and disability insurance, lifestyle spending account, certification incentives, education assistance, and a referral program.
