We are a home health agency searching for an ideal candidate to join our corporate finance department.
Position Objective
Conducts the day to day Electronic Billing activities consistent with regulatory compliance and Company policies, procedures and standards. Assures that all database information is current.
This position reports to the Director of Billing and CHHA Assistant Manager
Responsibilities and Duties
- Knowledge of Medicare required.
- Responsible for maintaining Electronic Billing ensuring that billing is processed and sent out in a timely manner with supporting documentation as per the billing requirements for each payer.
- Coordinate efforts between corporate and branches to obtain missing or erroneous supporting documentation as needed.
- Responsible to ensure that incoming electronic files including details of payments and denials are processed.
- Maintain and update electronic billing systems including coding tables for billing software.
- Oversee accuracy of payment posting for electronic billing.
- Manages collections as needed and oversee collection efforts of staff. Escalate information about non-paying payers to higher management.
- Maintain updated knowledge on all changes in billing regulations and processes.
- Have knowledge of and adhere to all Company policies associated with data integrity, record maintenance and confidentiality.
- Participates in billing projects as requested.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience a billing and systems department, preferably in a home health care environment with Medicare.
Experience with Home Care Home Base software and knowledge of TPL are an added plus.
