PrideStaff is currently hiring for Mechanics; specifically auto, diesel or heavy machinery type mechanics. Qualified candidates will have verifiable work history within the mechanic field, will be responsible for supplying their own tools, possess a valid driving license & will be able to successfully complete a background check & drug screen.

An Automotive/Heavy Diesel Technician is responsible for using components and parts to produce quality products. They will also read and interpret blueprints, positions parts, and examines connections for correct fit. They will also be able to perform repairs as needed and report errors in the assembly line. May perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and standard work instructions (SWI’s).
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Use a variety of other powered hand tools, rivets gun(s), drills, etc.
• Inspect and test, parts and products, as necessary, during or after assembly to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans.
• Assemble parts and sub-assemblies.
• Routine daily equipment maintenance.
• Prepare product for shipment.
• Ability to cross train in other areas and departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.
• Safety glasses with side shields are required in the manufacturing environment.

• Must handle multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast paced, high stress work environment.
