An American Image Sharing Company is looking to hire a contract Content Designer!

Location: Remote

Pay: $60-70/HOURLY depending on experience

Contract: 12 Months

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on feature development end to end, from reviewing product requirement docs to feature launch and iteration
  • Craft, write, edit, test and improve the content that makes our product easier to use.
  • This includes product flows, UI language, in-product education, terminology definitions, error state standardization, IA, product naming and navigation design.
  • Use empathy, logic and data to inform content choices.
  • Conduct audits, identify patterns, and lead brainstorming sessions to design the best content experiences.
  • Collaborate with researchers, product managers, product designers, engineers, product marketers, data scientists and business stakeholders to craft conversational, actionable UX writing.
  • Become an expert in your product and user group.
  • Collaborate with UX research to learn about what your audience truly needs.
  • Bring human voices into problem statements and product UI.
  • Partner with UX research, data scientists, and engineers to determine quantifiable goals for projects, and tie content design decisions to measurable results when possible.
  • Share your in-progress work during content design studio time for feedback, and offer feedback to other content designers tackling design problems in other areas of the business

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in user-focused product writing, ideally work in SaaS, digital agency or other relevant B2B product area.
  • Experience designing content for an enterprise audience and/or large agencies is a major plus.
  • A portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity and proven experience in content strategy, UX writing, and quantifying success of projects required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, Screenwriting, English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
