Grace Bible Church (Silver Lake, MN) Pastor

Purpose:

We are searching for a man, called by God, to pastor our church. He will serve the church by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and feeding the church a steady diet of biblical teaching. He will need skills in administrative leadership and a heart for engaging in pastoral care ministries to meet the needs of persons in the church and in the community.

Responsibilities:

· Set as a guideline of personal behavior the standard required in I Timothy 3:1-7 and I Peter 5:1-4.

· Prepare and preach sermons based on the Word of God, every Sunday.

· Teach confirmation class to young church members (two 9-month periods starting at 12 years old).

· Administer the sacrament of Holy communion.

· Perform weddings, funerals, dedication of children, baptisms.

· To be actively involved with youth ministries.

· Attending monthly church board meetings chaired by the head elder.

· Serve as a permanent member of the Missions Committee.

· Producing a weekly program for our First Light Radio Broadcast.

· Supervise and advise other members of the church staff according to staff organization.

· Plan and promote evangelistic ministries for the unsaved and renewal for the Christians.

· Provide administrative leadership for the total church program.

· Visit the sick and minister to members in times of crisis.

· To model and promote faithful financial stewardship and to encourage giving as a spiritual discipline by teaching the biblical principles of giving.

· Other assigned duties.

Salary range: $40K to $50K /Yr.

Vacation: Starting at 2Wks /Yr.

Medical: $500 to 1K monthly

Housing Allowence: $500 to 1,000 monthly
